Detailed Long-Distance Training Course Overview
Proper training is crucial for long-distance shooting. With my background as a U.S. Army Sniper and high school teacher, I provide personalized coaching that helps you avoid common pitfalls and ensures you’re prepared for any shooting scenario. This course is designed to help you develop the skills necessary for accurate, consistent long-distance shooting. I hold a very high standard for new shooters. We will shoot 10" disks all the way out to 770 yards! 15" disks up to 1000 yards!
- Intro: This course is 7-10 hours of completely personalized, 1-on-1 training
- Bring a Friend or Group: Enjoy a discount when you bring a friend or a group of friends to train with you. This is a great way to learn together and share the experience.
- Ballistic Calculator: Gain expertise in using the Chair Gun Elite Pro, AB Quantum, and Hornady ballistic calculator, avoiding common errors for better shot placement.
- Wind Test: At the end of the training, you'll apply what you've learned in a wind test, reinforcing your new skills in a practical setting.
- Wind Reading Introduction: Get an introduction to reading the wind, focusing on the six major factors that influence wind calls. While this session covers the basics, a second day of training is recommended for those looking to master wind reading.
- Shooting Positions & Techniques: Perfect your form for various scenarios, ensuring you maintain stability and accuracy no matter the shooting position.
- Scope Manipulation: Master the setup and leveling of your scope, including understanding Mil vs. MOA, to optimize your shooting performance.
- Data Collection & Adjustment: Understand how to collect your own shooting data and make necessary adjustments as conditions change, ensuring accuracy over varying distances.
